  • The Emerald begins flowering in mid-January to mid-February and ripens from mid-April to mid-May. The mature plant reaches 6 feet to 8 feet tall. Emerald Blueberry is a southern highbush and will cross-pollinate with other southern highbush like Jewel.
  • The Emerald Blueberry has a moderately-low chilling requirement, only requiring about 250 hours. This variety produces high-quality, early ripening berries. These large, firm, medium-dark blueberries tend to be mildly sweet when fully ripe.
